XXI Century Investments

As mentioned earlier in section “Fund Management”, the Ukrainian property market has provided some of the most lucrative investment opportunities in the recent past. The Ukrainian developers draw particular interest of the foreign investors. Companies with practical experience of project implementation, track-record of successful property developments, proprietary land banks, and an ability to attract reputable partners have been the focus of intense attention from the international property investors. One such developer is XXI Century Investments – one of the leading Ukrainian developers and a property management company. The Company’s portfolio includes commercial properties and retail real estate as well as elite residential projects. In December 2005, XXI Century Investments became the second and the largest Ukrainian IPO on the London Stock Exchange with a placement size of $US 139 million and market capitalisation of $US 388 million. Trust Capital Group served as Adviser to the Company and provided transaction support during the IPO process. XXI Century’s IPO confirmed the heightened interest of the international equity investors for the Ukrainian property market; there was a massive 5-times oversubscription to the issue. Post-IPO, the Company continued to develop successfully: In the latest financial year to December 2005, Net Asset Value (NAV) and market capitalisation grew substantially.
